Grundet den høje pris overvejer Activision at stoppe al udvikling til konsollen.
Activision chefen, Bobby Kotick, udtaler at de muligvis bliver nødt til at stoppe udviklingen af spil til PlayStation 3, på grund af den høje pris på konsollen.
"De bliver nødt til at sænke prisen, gør de ikke det, falder antallet af spil hver PS3 ejer køber. Hvis vi skal være realistiske bliver vi nok nødt til at stoppe vores udvikling til PS3 platformen."
Det fortæller Bobby Kotick til The Times.
Efter en rapport som The Times også har set, betalte Activision $500 mio. til Sony i royalties.
Kotick udtaler også "I'm getting concerned about Sony, the PlayStation 3 is losing a bit of momentum and they don't make it easy for me to support the platform.
It's expensive to develop for the console, and the Wii and the Xbox are just selling better. Games generate a better return on invested capital on the Xbox than on the PlayStation."
Activision har blandt andet et nyt Tony Hawk, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero 5 og Modern Warfare 2 på vej.
